It is super easy to be thankful on thanksgiving, but what about the other 364 days of the year!? We should be thankful for all our blessings year round! Did you know you can change your life, your attitude by practicing gratefulness every day of the year?
Lists, such a simple and effective way to remind ourselves of all the amazing daily things we have been blessed with. They say you can form a new habit if you do something consistently for 21 days. So my challenge to you is.. every night before you go to bed, grab your journal or you day planner and make a list of at least 5 things you are thankful for that day.
I encourage you to write lists for the next 21 days and be amazed at the impact it has on you and your life.
I am challenging you to turn all the simple daily things you have in your life into a gift. Your alarm clock. Your morning coffee, the warm water coming out of your shower. Your crazy noisy family, your pets. Your house. Your cellphone. Food. Music. Taste. Hearing. Laughter. Tears. Your Heartbeat.
Our lives are so busy and we have so many daily duties, that we often forget to appreciate our loved ones in our life. Why is it so easy to forget to be thankful for the ones that make our life worth living?
In the next 365 days, lets remember to shower our loved ones with love. Gifts. Hugs. Text messages. Hand written notes. A special meal. A date.
Stop and smell the roses. Enjoy all the small moments in life, because life is made of those small moments.
Practice the pause.
Pause before you eat and say a prayer of thankfulness for the food you have been blessed with.
Donate your time by volunteering. Donate your gently used clothing. Participate in raising money for local fundraisers supporting your favourite charity or causes. Donate to food drives, not just at Thanksgiving or Christmas time but year round.
